Archaeolingua Foundation is a Budapest-based non-profit organization promoting interdisciplinary research in archaeology, historical linguistics and related fields, as well as disseminating knowledge of digital applications and cutting-edge technologies in archaeology. By the publication and worldwide distribution of books, scientific and educational material, Archaeolingua contributes to the preservation of cultural values and heritage.
Archaeolingua has two main book series (‘Main Series’ and ‘Series Minor’), which are implemented through co-operation with national and international institutions (e.g. the European Archaeological Council; Central European University, Budapest; the Institute of Archaeology at the Research Centre for the Humanities, Hungarian Academy of Sciences). Other series of Archaeolingua include the recently launched ‘Archaeopress Central European Heritage Series’ made in collaboration with Archaeopress Oxford, and special thematic series with Pázmány Péter Catholic University and the Department of Egyptology at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest.
Archaeolingua also publishes an online, bilingual (Hungarian and English) journal entitled Hungarian Archaeology (http://www.hungarianarchaeology.hu/), addressing diverse topics of archaeology, cultural heritage and international research projects.
