EAA-Excursion 1: Citywalk ‘The Taste of Maastricht’
In this delicious tour around Maastricht you will get to know the city in a very special way. Our guide will show you the most beautiful places and tell you some very interesting facts about Maastricht. You will discover different aspects from the versatile city and you will taste the Burgundian atmosphere that the South has to offer. Let your company be surprised by tasting several typical Maastricht tastings, such as pie (‘Limburgse vlaai’) and a chocolate surprise.

Holding onto a paraffin lamp for light, you'll follow the guide through a labyrinth of dark corridors, visiting impressive bomb shelters, and numerous power rooms, staircases, and galleries. The enthusiastic guide will tell you exciting stories about the life of soldiers during the sieges. For a brief moment, you'll be transported back to the past and imagine a life in times gone by. History comes to life! Once the tour has ended, you'll have a good impression of the details surrounding this unique monument of military engineering.

EAA-excursion 3: Bike tour around Maastricht
Maastricht is a place with a unique and authentic energy and dynamism that you won't experience anywhere else in the Netherlands. The most enjoyable way to get to know Maastricht and its surroundings is by bike. You can enjoy Maastricht's charming squares, historic buildings, and mysterious views before travelling out towards the hill country, where rolling hills, charming farmsteads, picturesque villages, and imposing châteaux await.
During the bike tour through Maastricht our enthusiastic guide will tell you some exciting stories, funny and interesting facts about the highlights from Maastricht. You will see the old city wall, cycle over the Sint Servaas-bridge, and pass the famous squares; ‘Vrijthof’ and ‘Onze Lieve Vrouweplein’. You will also pass the lesser known, but evenly beautiful ‘Jekerkwartier’. Halfway through the tour there will be a pub stop in a nice café for a drink.
